39: Nightmare An atomic-powered satellite falls from orbit and impacts near Kimba's jungle, producting a mushroom cloud explosion. The animals that survive the blast are killed by the cleanup crew that arrives; presumably to save them the suffering of radiation poisoning. A mother gorilla is saved by Kimba, but her baby is missing. Kimba finds the baby just in time for him to witness his mother shot by the humans. The baby gorilla dies soon afterwards, from radiation sickness, while playing with a baby wildebeest. The end. (And no, I am not exaggerating or leaving out anything.) | ||

52: Harmony Part 2 The carnage in this episode is beyond belief and inexcusable. This episode proves that this series not only has no connection whatsoever to either Tezuka's original TV series or even the Jungle Emperor Leo movie, it is an insult to everyone who knows and loves these characters. The nightmares upon nightmares that were the previous episodes of this series culminate here, with major characters being killed right and left. Then, after he is shot, Kimba makes a speech and everything's hunky-dory. Pure insanity. |
